obsessive- compulsive disorder

Obsessive- compulsive disorder is an anxiety disorder.
It includes reoccurring or disturbing thoughts, repetitive or ritualistic behaviors.
The person  has intrusive images or unwanted impulses.
They realize that their impulses are senseless or excessive.
There was a study done on a woman who always checked the trash just in case something valuable got thrown away.'
When they asked her why she said " I don't know, I don't own anything valuable."
Treatment includes exposer therapy.
Exposer therapy is when they make the patient stop whatever they do when they feel that compulsion.
