social anxiety

      Social anxiety is the fear of interaction with other people. It commonly causes the fear of being judged by everyone they meet.It can often lead to depression. When a person becomes irrationally nervous or anxious when they are around people. Some situations people with social anxiety often experience a lot of anxiety with are; being introduced to new people, being criticized or teased, being the center of attention or being watched, interpersonal relationships friendship or romantic, and many more things.People with social anxiety often experience easily blushing, racing heart, and excessive sweating. They can also experience tinkling of hands and feet. This is because anxiety triggers the fight or flight response so you body draws blood away from your smaller muscles to your bigger ones so you can fight or run away.  Social anxiety is one of the most common mental illnesses among teens. Receiving psychological help or therapy will help a lot. It will not take the anxiety away but it will go away faster and you will know how to handle it.

Clinical lycanthropy

      Clinical lycanthropy is a psychiatric syndrome in which the person believes that they can and have turned into an non-human animal. They often start to act like the animal they have shifted into.The symptoms of Clinical lycanthropy are delusions, hallucination,disorganized speech, and grossly disorganized behavior.These symptoms are close to the one's of schizophrenia. Patients have moments of lucidity  and  look back and remember turning into something else.They also start acting like the animal such as growling, barking,and crawling.In a study of two patients neuroimaging was done and abnormal activation of the part of the brain dealing with body image.Clinical lycanthropy is largely related to psychotic breaks caused by other mental disorders.Treatnment for this is very difficult due to the varying degrees of it and it is very rare. The movie that shows this the best is in the 1984 film Birdy.
